On the obverse of the medal is the outline of Joseph Brodsky, resembling a crack or split as an allegory of the fate and the poet’s personality. The years of his life are on the reverse.
A copy of the bronze work is in the permanent collection of The State Hermitage museum and Anna Akhmatova Literary and Memorial Museum.
