Meteor shower
Materials: obsidian, steel
Height: 225 mm
Length: 160 mm
A silvery scattering of infinitely distant stars lights up in the bottomless black sky. The brilliance of the “lights” fascinates and resonates in the heart.
“Meteor shower” is one of the first stone-cutting works of the master. The traditional intaglio technique of carving and the author’s figurative style embody in the solid obsidian. A graphic, deep-cut silhouette in a recognizable, characteristic plasticity goes beyond the composition, interacting with space and the viewer.
