At the bottom of the sea

Materials: agate, silver, gilding

Height: 155 mm

When waves rage on the surface breaking into pieces on the rocks, there is calm at the bottom of the sea. Sun flares play on the waves illuminating this beautiful, fabulous and bright world. In the “sea gardens” live amazing inhabitants. A transparent fish like a glass is one of them. It swims slowly among seaweeds and corals searching for food. Its body is covered with a transparent thin scale changing colors as a chameleon and making it almost invisible to others.
Author’s plasticity of this miniature is in gradual transitions and lines, in combination of textures: mate natural stone crust and a polished glossy surface. All of these details convey the idea of this “glass” fish, conceived in stone.
