Another pondering by Sergey Falkin on the search for plasticity, combinations of lines and states gives birth to a new sketch in bronze. This time the artist is looking for the sculptural embodiment of the lark’s image, its “formula”, as the artist calls it.

Using an active line in plastics, the sculptor creates an alternation: long and smooth lines flow into shorter and straighter ones and then back into long ones. The lightness of plastic “sound” is achieved by the absence of rhythmic accents in the work. In this way a “full-sounding and melodic tonality” of the sculpture is born, which, like the long and ringing trill of a lark, coloring the space around it with a joyful mood.
