Bell “Hare”

Material: belorechensk quartzite.

Height: 99 mm.

Continuing his favourite theme of bells in his art, Sergey Falkin creates a new image from stone, embodying the symbol of the approaching year.

A rare colour combination, incorporated into a piece of Belorechensk quartzite by nature, gave the image a special individuality. The rabbit became a metaphor for the changing year: it says goodbye to the year of the tiger with a red striped colour of its back, and meets the coming year of the rabbit with an irregular, slightly mottled, like the animal fur, grey shimmering tint on the front.
