“Baltic whale (swimmer)” is a fantasy man-fish. It’s a kind of stylization of power and fusion with the elements.
Stripes on his body resemble the sea waves and on the other hand, men’s swimming costume of the century before last. Fast movements and strong forces of the swimmer are transmitted by the plastic capability of stone – cacholong and lazurite.
The sculpture “Baltic whale (swimmer)” took the second place in the nomination “Stone-cutting art” at the jewelry competition “Russia. XXI century” the Gokhran of Russia in 2014.
