The Museum of History of Stone and Jewelry Art in Yekaterinburg will open a personal exhibition of Sergey Falkin “Playing with Metaphor. Sculpture and graphics”, organized within the celebration of the 295th anniversary of stone-cutting art in the Urals.
At the exhibition will be presented more than 60 works created by the master for the last 15 years. They are devoted to a wide range of themes: these are biblical stories, and pagan myths, and shamanic images, people and animals, natural elements and phenomena, and expressive abstraction.
Besides familiar to us stone works, the exhibition in Yekaterinburg will present new works where the author combines stone and metal, plays with color, combines contrasting textures, achieving ultimate expressiveness.
The exhibition will also include graphic works by Sergey Falkin, also created in the author’s technique.
The exhibition will open till 15 January, 2022
