An ironic interpretation of the Abduction of Europe – a famous story from Ancient Greek mythology, is told in a new way by the author’s sculpture “Taming”.
Filled with dramatic moment sculpture attracts the viewer with the development of artistic thought in two ways: Europe in an attempt to control the swift bull, or the classic version of abduction. The dynamics of the composition is achieved by elongated, conventional silhouettes of a bull and a girl, devoid of details, allowing to perceive the main thing – the idea. So in real life – everything is relative. No matter from what perspective one looks at it.
